Alejandra Oaziaza, also publicly known as Alejandra Jackson, is a Colombian-born fashion and business figure best known for her ties to the Jackson family. She had two children with Randy Jackson before later marrying his brother Jermaine Jackson, with whom she had sons Jaafar and Jermajesty. She also helped raise Donte Jackson and describes herself publicly as a mother of five.

Her name has drawn renewed attention because her son Jaafar Jackson plays Michael Jackson in the 2026 film Michael. Alejandra appeared with Jaafar, Jermaine and Jermajesty at the film’s Los Angeles premiere on April 20, 2026, according to Getty Images’ event record.

Alejandra’s biography is unusually prone to errors in online profiles. Randy Jackson was the father of two of her children, but they were not married. Jermaine filed for divorce in 2004, but the marriage was not legally dissolved until 2008. She has four documented biological children, not five, and an announced television project called Living With the Jacksons was ultimately scrapped rather than becoming a regular series.

Who is Alejandra Oaziaza?

Recent U.S. coverage has referred to her as Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza or Alejandra Oaziaza Jackson, while she now uses Alejandra Jackson professionally. A 2014 California appellate opinion concerning the same family identifies her as Alejandra Loaiza and notes that she is also known as Alejandra Jackson.

The different surnames have never been clearly explained in an authoritative public record. Colombian coverage has also used Alejandra Martínez or Alejandra Rodríguez Martínez. Those variations all point to the same woman through consistent references to Randy Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, her children and the Jackson family’s Hayvenhurst home, but none should be presented as her definitive legal or birth name without stronger documentation.

The California appellate opinion reproduced by CaseMine establishes that she is from Colombia. Noticias Caracol has described her as Bogotá-born and reported that she moved to the United States at age 11 with her mother and younger brother, although that account has not been independently confirmed through civil or immigration records.

Her exact birth date is also not publicly established. The appellate opinion states that she was 20 years old on August 23, 1989, while pregnant with her daughter Genevieve, but that does not establish a precise birthday.

Her relationship with Randy Jackson

Alejandra first became part of the Jackson family’s story through Steven Randall “Randy” Jackson, Michael Jackson’s younger brother.

The 2014 appellate opinion identifies Randy as the father of Alejandra’s first two children: Genevieve Katherine Jackson and Stephen, or Steven, Randall Jackson Jr. The court also records the legal and financial arrangements surrounding the children, including a later housing arrangement at Hayvenhurst.

One common claim needs correcting: Alejandra and Randy were not husband and wife. A 2026 PEOPLE family explainer states that they never married, and the court record is consistent with that account.

That distinction matters because older entertainment coverage sometimes described Alejandra as Randy’s “wife.” A 2009 ABC News article, for example, used that wording while citing family biographers rather than a marriage record. The stronger documentary record supports describing Randy as her former partner and the father of two of her children.

According to Noticias Caracol’s account of an earlier Los Informantes interview, Alejandra later described the relationship as difficult and said it never became formal. That characterization is best understood as her own retrospective account rather than an independently established description of the relationship.

Her marriage to Jermaine Jackson

Alejandra later married Randy’s older brother, Jermaine Jackson.

According to an Associated Press report based on Jermaine’s divorce petition, Alejandra and Jermaine married on March 18, 1995.

They had two sons together:

  • Jaafar Jackson
  • Jermajesty Jackson

Jaafar later became the most internationally visible of Alejandra’s children when he was cast as his uncle Michael Jackson in Michael. Lionsgate’s official film listing identifies Jaafar in the title role.

Alejandra and Jermaine separated on November 15, 2004, and Jermaine filed for divorce four days later, on November 19. That filing date has often been shortened in later profiles to “they divorced in 2004,” but that is not quite accurate.

The marriage was legally dissolved on May 19, 2008, according to the 2014 appellate opinion. The useful distinction is simple: 2004 was the separation and filing; 2008 was the final dissolution.

This also corrects another familiar piece of Jackson-family shorthand. Jermaine did not marry “his brother’s wife.” Alejandra had children with Randy, but she and Randy had not married before her marriage to Jermaine.

How many children does Alejandra Jackson have?

Alejandra is the biological mother of four documented children:

  1. Genevieve Katherine Jackson, with Randy Jackson
  2. Stephen/Steven Randall Jackson Jr., with Randy Jackson
  3. Jaafar Jackson, with Jermaine Jackson
  4. Jermajesty Jackson, with Jermaine Jackson

She also helped raise Donte Jackson, which explains why she publicly describes herself as a mother of five.

A 2014 REELZ announcement presented Donte as part of the family Alejandra had raised and distinguished him from the four children she had with Randy and Jermaine.

That distinction is worth keeping clear because some profiles have described all five as her biological children, while others have incorrectly counted three children with Jermaine by including Donte alongside Jaafar and Jermajesty.

Life at Hayvenhurst

Alejandra and her children became closely associated with Hayvenhurst, the Jackson family’s well-known home in Encino, California.

The appellate record says that a 1993 child-support arrangement included housing for Alejandra and her two children with Randy at Hayvenhurst. It states that she ultimately lived there from 1993 through 2011, a period of 19 years.

In her later account to Noticias Caracol, Alejandra recalled expecting to stay only briefly before remaining for much longer, and that retrospective report described her stay as 22 years. For a precise chronology, however, the court record’s 1993-to-2011 timeline is the firmer figure.

The long Hayvenhurst period helps explain why Alejandra’s public identity became so closely tied to the Jackson family even after her marriage to Jermaine ended.

Colombian background and early life in the US

Alejandra’s Colombian background is one of the better-established parts of her early biography. The appellate opinion refers to Colombia as her native country and says her second child with Randy was born there.

A 2026 Noticias Caracol retrospective based on an earlier Los Informantes interview describes her as being from Bogotá and says she moved to the United States at 11. It also says she attended school in Beverly Hills.

Caracol’s archive shows that the original Los Informantes feature aired on March 15, 2015, despite a later retrospective saying the interview took place in 2018.

Some biographies also claim that Alejandra earned a UCLA degree in fashion design and marketing. That claim is too uncertain to include as fact. UCLA’s own institutional material says the university does not offer a fashion-design major or minor and does not have a dedicated fashion program, so the specific degree description remains unresolved.

Fashion and media work

Alejandra has long described herself as having worked in fashion. Her current professional biography also presents fashion as an important part of her earlier career.

The broad description of her as a fashion designer is repeated across contemporary profiles, but some more elaborate claims about celebrity clients, store scale and industry prominence come mainly from promotional biographies rather than independent trade reporting. The safest description is that she worked in fashion before expanding into media, business and public speaking.

In 2014, REELZ announced a television project called Living With the Jacksons, centered on Alejandra and the children she was raising.

The project is sometimes listed online as though it became an established reality series. It did not. REELZ announced it publicly, but TV Insider reported in August 2015 that the project had been delayed and ultimately scrapped.

That makes “planned reality project” or “announced television project” more accurate than calling it an aired series.

What does Alejandra Jackson do now?

As of October 2026, Alejandra has a more business- and leadership-focused public profile than the family-centered coverage that first made her widely recognizable.

Her official professional website describes her as a co-founder and chief operating officer of ROGO Capital Partners and promotes her work in consulting, leadership and speaking. Because that title comes from her own current website, it is best treated as her present professional description rather than an independently audited corporate status.

She is also listed on the We Do It Together board of directors, providing a separate current organizational role.

In 2025, she appeared as a speaker at TEDxModena. The TEDxModena speaker page lists her in the May 24, 2025 programme, and her public presentation focused on themes of identity, reinvention and resilience.

Those activities give Alejandra a current public identity beyond her former marriage and Jackson-family connections.

Why she is back in the public eye

Alejandra’s renewed visibility in 2026 is closely tied to Jaafar Jackson’s starring role in Michael.

Why she is back in the public eye - alejandra oaziaza

Jaafar’s casting places one of Alejandra’s children at the centre of a major film about the most famous member of the Jackson family. At the Los Angeles premiere on April 20, 2026, Getty photographed Alejandra alongside Jaafar, Jermaine and Jermajesty.

That appearance is significant mainly as a current public sighting. It does not, by itself, establish anything about private family relationships or reconciliation.

What it does show is that Alejandra Oaziaza remains part of the Jackson family’s public story while also maintaining her own work in business, nonprofit activity and speaking.

The facts most often confused about Alejandra Oaziaza

A few details are worth keeping straight.

Was she married to Randy Jackson?

No. Randy was the father of Genevieve and Stephen/Steven Randall Jr., but Alejandra and Randy were not married.

When did she divorce Jermaine Jackson?

Jermaine filed for divorce in 2004, but the marriage was legally dissolved on May 19, 2008.

Does she have five biological children?

No. Four biological children are documented. She also raised Donte Jackson and publicly describes herself as a mother of five.

Did Living With the Jacksons become a television series?

No. REELZ announced the project in 2014, but it was later scrapped.

How old is Alejandra Oaziaza?

Her exact birth date has not been publicly established. A court record says she was 20 on August 23, 1989, but a precise current age should not be stated without a verified date of birth.

Alejandra Oaziaza’s public biography is therefore best understood through a few firmly documented facts: she is Colombian-born, had two children with Randy Jackson, later married Jermaine Jackson and had two sons with him, helped raise Donte Jackson, spent many years at Hayvenhurst, and now presents herself publicly through business, nonprofit and speaking work. Her son Jaafar’s role in Michael has brought fresh attention to that history, but her present-day profile extends beyond it.
