King Javien Conde is the eldest son of reality-TV personality Erica Mena and the late Raul Conde, a longtime Terror Squad associate and music-video director. He was born in 2007 and, unlike his parents, has maintained a relatively private life. Reputable outlets including iHeart have identified him by the full name King Javien Conde, while Mena and other coverage often refer to him simply as King or King Conde.
The most recent substantive public update about him came from Mena in December 2024. During her appearance on the Dumb Blonde podcast, she said King had graduated from high school, was attending college at 17 and wanted to work in cybersecurity. No later reliable public update has established his current college, degree programme or employment as of October 7, 2026.
Early life and family
King is Erica Mena’s first child with Raul Conde. PEOPLE’s profile of Mena’s children says he was born in 2007 and that Mena was 19 when she became a mother.
March 1, 2007 is widely reported as King’s exact birthday, but the year is better documented than the specific date. Claims about his birthplace are also inconsistent, with different online biographies naming different cities, so there is no sound basis for stating one as fact.
King grew up with connections to both reality television and hip-hop. Mena became widely known through the Love & Hip Hop franchise, while Raul Conde was associated with Fat Joe’s Terror Squad and worked as a music-video director. Despite that family background, King has not developed a comparable public entertainment career.
His younger maternal half-siblings are Safire Majesty Samuels and Legend Brian Samuels, Mena’s children with Safaree Samuels. PEOPLE documents the three children as part of Mena’s immediate family.
Education and early academic progress
Education is one of the clearest themes in King’s public story. In 2020, Mena said he was participating in dual enrollment, a system that allows students to take college-level courses while still in secondary school. Her comments were reported by Urban Belle.
At the time, Mena predicted that he might graduate from high school at 14 or 15. That did not become the documented timeline, however. In a 2023 interview, she said King was 16 and expected to graduate that year. By December 2024, she described him as having completed high school and already attending college.
Mena has also spoken about his academic interests from an early age. In interviews, she has described him as curious about subjects ranging from global warming to feminism. Those observations come from his mother rather than from King himself, but they fit the broader pattern she has described: his ambitions appeared to be centred more on education than entertainment.
His interest in cybersecurity
King is sometimes described online as if he already works in cybersecurity. That goes beyond what has been publicly established.
In Mena’s December 23, 2024 appearance on Dumb Blonde, she said King wanted to work in cybersecurity. The official Apple Podcasts episode establishes the date and context of that interview.
What remains unknown is whether cybersecurity became his college major, whether he has completed any related qualification or whether he now works in the field. The responsible description is therefore that cybersecurity was his stated career interest, not an established profession.
Why King keeps a low public profile
King’s relative absence from social media and television appears to be deliberate. Mena has repeatedly said that her eldest son does not want a highly public life.
In PEOPLE’s profile, Mena’s earlier comments are summarised as describing his wish to stay away from the attention attached to her reality-TV career. She has also said that she limits how often she posts him publicly because he does not want that exposure.
That helps explain why there are relatively few dependable updates about his school, work or day-to-day life. It also means the lack of public information should not be filled with guesses about his relationships, residence or personal circumstances.
No verified public Instagram account belonging to King has been firmly established, despite searches for his name frequently directing readers toward similarly named or aggregated social pages.
His father, Raul Conde
King’s father, Raul Conde, was closely connected to the hip-hop collective Terror Squad and was known for music-video work. Contemporary coverage from iHeart described him as a longtime Terror Squad figure and video director.
Raul died on November 22, 2023, aged 52. His Van Orsdel Funeral & Cremation Services obituary lists his dates as July 29, 1971 to November 22, 2023.
A cause of death was not given in that obituary, and contemporary reporting said it had not been publicly disclosed. Later claims assigning a specific cause should therefore not be treated as established fact.
Does King Javien Conde have a television career?
King has occasionally appeared in entertainment databases in connection with Love & Hip Hop, including a reported 2020 appearance. Paramount+’s official Season 10 listings confirm the episode Happily Mena After, but the available episode guide does not independently establish King as a credited cast member.
More importantly, there is no sign of a sustained acting, reality-TV or music career. Any isolated childhood television appearance is better understood as part of his mother’s public life than as evidence of an independent entertainment career.
That distinction matters because many short online biographies label celebrity relatives as actors, TV personalities or influencers based on little more than a single appearance or family connection. King’s documented direction has instead centred on education and an interest in cybersecurity.
What is King Javien Conde doing now?
The latest well-supported public update remains Mena’s December 2024 account: King had finished high school, was attending college at 17 and hoped to pursue cybersecurity.
As of October 7, 2026, there is no reliable public confirmation of his current institution, degree, employer or professional project. His private approach to public attention makes that absence unsurprising, and there is no basis for turning older information into a claim about his present situation.
There is also no dependable evidence supporting the net-worth figures, medical claims or detailed personal information that appear on some celebrity-biography websites. Those subjects are either unsupported or private.
What can be said with confidence is more straightforward: King Javien Conde is Erica Mena and Raul Conde’s eldest son, born in 2007, who completed high school young, entered college and expressed an interest in cybersecurity while largely choosing to stay outside the public entertainment world that made his family familiar.
