DD Osama is 19 years old as of October 5, 2026. His best-supported date of birth is November 29, 2006, which means he will turn 20 on November 29, 2026. Shazam lists November 29, 2006 as his birthday, while dated coverage from XXL and the Los Angeles Times is consistent with that birth date.
The Harlem rapper’s public career began while he was still in his teens. Known professionally as DD Osama, he is identified in recording credits and music journalism as David Reyes. Some websites publish conflicting middle names, so “David Reyes” is the safest supported form.

How old is DD Osama?
DD Osama was born on November 29, 2006. That makes him 19 in October 2026.
His age also lines up with contemporary reporting from earlier in his career. XXL described him as 16 in May 2023, then said he had recently turned 17 in a December 2023 profile. The Los Angeles Times described him as 17 in March 2024.
That consistency matters because DD Osama became widely known unusually young. Much of his breakthrough happened before he was old enough to vote.
Who is DD Osama?
DD Osama is a rapper from Harlem, New York, associated with the city’s drill scene. His name is given as David Reyes in a 2023 XXL profile and in later music-release credits.
His exact middle name is less clear. Different biography pages use “Miguel,” “DeShaun” or “De’Shaun,” but those versions conflict with one another. There is no need to choose between them when the better-supported public name is simply David Reyes.
XXL reported that he grew up in Harlem’s Sugar Hill area and began recording in 2021 after his younger brother, Ethan Reyes, better known as Notti Osama, became interested in making music. DD later recalled that the brothers recorded together repeatedly during that period.
His early career with Notti Osama
Notti Osama was DD Osama’s younger brother and an important part of his musical beginnings. By 2021, the two were recording together, and their collaboration became central to DD’s early work.
Their song “Dead Opps” became one of the records most closely associated with his breakthrough. DD also drew attention with “40s N 9s,” made with Sugarhill Ddot.
Notti died in July 2022 at the age of 14. The event became inseparable from the next stage of DD Osama’s career, but it is better understood as family loss rather than promotional mythology. In XXL’s May 2023 profile, DD said he had considered quitting music after his brother’s death before deciding to continue.
His later songs included tributes such as “Letter 2 Notti” and “Without You.” By the end of 2022, XXL reported that DD had signed with Alamo Records.
Breakthrough and major projects
DD Osama’s visibility expanded quickly during 2022 and 2023. Alongside “Dead Opps” and “40s N 9s,” he released “Throw” with Lil Mabu and worked with Coi Leray on “Upnow” in 2023.
His debut mixtape, Here 2 Stay, arrived in May 2023. Pitchfork’s review also identified it as his debut mixtape rather than a full studio album.
The project showed a broader musical direction than drill alone. In his December 2023 XXL interview, DD said, “I’m not just no regular drill rapper,” and spoke about wanting to evolve beyond one style.
That idea also appeared in a 2023 Complex interview, where he discussed making emotional and trap-oriented records rather than staying confined to drill.
In October 2024, he followed with Before The Album. Apple Music lists the project as a 10-song release issued on October 16, 2024 through Alamo Records and Sony Music Entertainment.
What is DD Osama doing now?
DD Osama remained active through 2025 and 2026.
His later releases included “Taking Risks” and “Platinum” with STAR BANDZ in 2025. On February 19, 2026, he released “Superstars” featuring Hurricane Wisdom, which appeared through his official artist channel and the Alamo/Sony catalog.
His latest corroborated 2026 release is “Free The Threats” with DudeyLo, dated August 21, 2026. The track appears across the established Apple Music, Shazam and Qobuz catalog chain. Qobuz’s release credits also identify David Reyes in the songwriting information.
That makes DD Osama an active recording artist at 19, several years removed from the teenage breakthrough that first brought attention to his music.
When is DD Osama’s birthday?
DD Osama’s birthday is November 29. With a birth date of November 29, 2006, he turns 20 years old on November 29, 2026.
What is DD Osama’s real name?
The best-supported form of his name is David Reyes. That is the name used by XXL and in recording credits tied to his music.
Some websites add different middle names, but those versions conflict. Until a reliable first-party record resolves that discrepancy, publishing simply “David Reyes” avoids presenting uncertain information as fact.
Where is DD Osama from?
DD Osama is associated with Harlem, New York, particularly the Sugar Hill area. That background is consistently reflected in artist metadata and profiles from publications such as XXL.
His early career also grew directly out of New York’s drill scene, but his own interviews show that he has tried to push beyond being defined by drill alone.
At 19, DD Osama already has a catalog stretching from the 2022 breakout records “Dead Opps” and “40s N 9s” to Here 2 Stay, Before The Album and new music released in 2026. His age remains one of the most searched details about him largely because so much of that career unfolded while he was still a teenager.
